Separation of Church and State

Now I would like state that I have questioned the existance of God, and have since I could remember. In no way do I endorse or recommend any religion, but endorse the idea of questioning your belief-system and coming to a logical and faithful conclusion, rather than succumbing to the religion, just because those parental figures said to.

Knowing that, I believe the separation of Church and State is taken way too far. It is to a point where we use political correctness to establish censorship of religion. If Merry Christmas, or any other religious term, offends you, I am sorry, but you need to learn tolerance. This country was founded on the morals and lessons of Jesus of Nazareth (or Jesus Christ). The Pledge of Alliance does not abridge the constitution as God is just references to a higher being, and does not have to be the God who fathered Jesus of Nazareth.

The Constitution does say the following on religion:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

Straight from the first amendment, however, it does not state anything more than that the government cannot prevent establishment or practice, however it does not state that there can not be a official religion or that the government cannot accept practice of religion in federal places. As long as each place is tolerant to any religion that wants to be exercised, I see no problem what-so-ever.

I've been in classrooms where the whole class did a prayer, which is technically not allowed, but I didn't feel offended or obligated to tell the administration of this problem. It is no problem, except to those that are intolerant, and intolerance leads to tyranny. It's as if, no religion has become the doctrine for power instead of a religion.
